Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 results is announced today by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. The results are available at the official website –https://gate.iitk.ac.in. The exam was conducted in eight sessions on February 4, 5, 11 and 12. A total of 5.17 lakh students appeared for the exam and out of this one lakh students have been qualified. The pass percentage stand at around 18%. The total number of students registered for the exam was at 6.70 lakh.
The score cards will be available from March 22, 2023. Students can download the score card from the portal till May 31, 2023, without any fee. Gate 2023 exam were held in over 500 centres across the country with an attendance percentage of 77%. The exam was conducted in 29 subjects and candidates had the choice of selecting two papers in some subjects. Out of these 29 subjects, more than 20% of candidates qualified for 12 subjects. Among these the Metallurgical engineering subject recorded about 25% qualified candidates, making it the highest qualified percentage for GATE 2023.
GATE is conducted in the subjects of Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, Commerce and Humanities streams. GATE scores are used for admission and financial assistance in government funded institutions offering post graduate studies and for employment in Public Sector Undertaking (PSUs).
