As the Founder & CEO of Kangaroo Kids and Billabong High International Kanpur,
We embarked on a relentless journey to redefine excellence in education. Our schools are vibrant hubs of innovation and inspiration. Initiatives including inter-disciplinary approach, multiple intelligences based pedagogy driven by blooms taxonomy and Harvard project zero along with our robust hosting cum participation in super curricular opportunities to develop the 4Cs critical in skill building like the IIMUN, WSD, WSC, STEAM programmes, annual crossover faculty (visits from the leading international schools in UK) innovatively planned experiential school trips, design thinking and an embedded sense of sustainability in education have placed us as in progressive education.
One standout moment was when we launched our College Guidance Counselling platform, pairing students with right opportunities of the university mentorship programs along with independently organised TEDx talks on sustainability and Youth Empowerment, wherein we paired students with industry leaders from diverse backgrounds. Witnessing the transformative impact of these connections reinforced my belief in the power of empathy and collaboration to drive meaningful change in our schools and beyond.
My role is not confined to boardroom strategies from mentoring students to personally spearheading community outreach initiatives. I am deeply rooted in every aspect of our school’s success. One memorable experience was when we rallied our school community –students, parents and teachers alike to embrace Microsoft teams and Firefly remotely to let the learning not just go on but to thrive and empower. We together marched forward with continued comprehensive learning and engaging super curricular sessions. It remains till date a case in point, a testament to the power of collective action and the indomitable spirit of the school family.
Gender equality is woven into the fabric of our schools. Through equal representation in a plethora of opportunities in our school space ranging from annual concerts to sports to representation of school across the entire spectrum of inter-school, national and international competitions, we are empowering the next generation of female trailblazers to break barriers and shatter stereotypes. One proud moment was when a group of our students represented us at a prestigious Asian Space Settlement Research and Development Competition (ASSRDC) showcasing their ground breaking innovation in space settlement, proving that gender is no barrier to greatness.
On hindsight, my leadership journey at Kangaroo Kids and Billabong High International has been fuelled by innovation and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Through stellar partnerships and transformative initiatives, we have not only redefined the educational landscape but also inspired a generation of changemakers poised to leave their indelible mark in the world.
I believe in leading with heart, empathy and an unwavering commitment to inclusivity.
