The Global Schools Group (GSG) has proudly inaugurated the Global Schools Nikon School of Creativity at GIIS Nagpur, a pioneering initiative aimed at fostering creativity and innovation in students. This first-of-its-kind photography club among GSG’s 26 Indian campuses is the result of a unique collaboration with Nikon, a global leader in imaging and optics.
The partnership between Nikon and GIIS began in 2018 with a photography programme at GIIS Abu Dhabi. Building on its success, GIIS Nagpur now joins the league of campuses equipped with advanced photography training, empowering students with visual storytelling and creative expression skills.
Designed to cater to different age groups, skill levels, and learning styles, the Global Schools Nikon School of Creativity provides tailored training by professional mentors. Students will receive hands-on experience in camera handling, composition, and artistic storytelling, ensuring a dynamic and immersive learning environment.
The launch was graced by Mr. Lalit Vikamshi, a distinguished artist, sculptor, and designer known for large-scale projects at IIM Nagpur and Indian Railways. His keynote address highlighted the fusion of art, engineering, and community-driven creativity.
Ms. Arya Chitra, General Manager of Nikon Youth & Kids Programme, called the initiative a milestone moment for young creatives. Ms. Nidhi Gupta, Principal of GIIS Nagpur, expressed confidence that the programme would nurture imagination and independence while empowering students with essential creative skills.
This initiative reaffirms GSG’s commitment to holistic education, providing students with dynamic opportunities to learn, create, and thrive.
