Shreya Pattanayak from Bhubaneshwar, and a student of Mother’s Public School got a perfect score in all her subjects in her Class 10 examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). She appeared for subjects like mathematics, history, geography, English, Sanskrit, and science and scored 100 in each subject. “I knew that I will do well but did not expect to score 500 out of 500. My mother and school teachers always guided and helped me in studies. I want to prepare for medicals,” she says.
Naturally, her parents and teachers are elated at this achievement of hers. The principal of Mother’s Public School, Polly Patnaik, says “It was indeed a pleasant surprise. We knew that she will do well but a perfect 100 was not expected. She made all of us very proud. During pandemic we stressed on tests, writing practice and doubt clearing of children, which helped the children.” Her father also says “She is very hard working and sincere from her childhood. We never give any pressure for doing well in the examination. It is her mother who has always motivated her for doing well.”
“Apart from studies I love to read short stories and novels. Sudha Murthy is my favourite author. I also do cycling and play piano to relax during my free time,” says Shreya.
