Goa Will Implement NEP 2020 in a Phased Manner

The government of Goa will start rolling out the changes based on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in a phased manner. According to the Goa CM Pramod Savant, two task forces have been initiated to implement the same, one for school education and one for higher education.

The directorate of school education, the directorate of higher education, directorate of technical education, the State Council of Educational Research and Training, and the Goa Samagra Shiksha have already initiated their parts in the implementation of the NEP 2020 on various parameters.

The directorate of Education has already implemented some subjects under the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) in all government secondary and higher secondary schools and 53 aided secondary and higher secondary schools.

The directorate of education is planning to implement the NSQF subjects in all aided schools in a phased manner using the flagship program of the Samagra Shiksha.
