As per the announcement made by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Educational Board (GSHSEB), they stated that around 79 schools posted less than 10 percent result in the 12th standard general stream examinations this year. The students of English medium performed better than their Gujarati counterparts with 83.96 percent of them clearing the exams against 72.43 percent of the latter.

Around 3, 55,560 students appeared in the exams and only 2, 60,500 cleared it. There was a 4.3 percent increase from last year as 73.27 percent of students cleared the 12th Board exams this year. The highest 95.66 percent results were posted by Navrangpura centre in Ahmedabad and the lowest 15.43 pass percentage was posted by Morva Rena in central Gujarat’s Panchmahals district.

With a score of 79.27 percent girls have outperformed the boys and only 67.94 percent of boys cleared the examination. With 85.03 percent results, Patan district in North Gujarat topped the state and with 45.82 pass percentage Panchmahals hit the bottom.
