Haryana state government is implementing a zero dropout policy to ensure that no child remains out of the school by next year. As a part of this initiative, around 48 lakh children in the age group of 6 to 18 years are being tracked for their education status.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PMSHRI) two schools in each of the 135 blocks of the state are to be opened by next year. In these schools, education will be imparted according to the National Education Policy 2020. The central government has set a target of implementing the National Education Policy across the country by 2030.
According to the state government Haryana has achieved positive results in the last eight years by adopting to advancements in the field of education, health, security, self-reliance and good governance. Digital tablets have been provided to students of classes 10 and 12 so as to enable them to be better connected. Smart Classrooms are being used across state government schools to impart education effectively. Along with studies in the cluster scheme attention is also being given to skill development.
Haryana state government has adopted the cluster scheme to further develop the system of education. Clusters are formed that consist of 4 to 5 villages. In each of these clusters arts, science and commerce subjects will be taught to senior students with a special focus on skill development.
The Haryana state government has procured 150 news schools buses under the Chatra Parivahan Suraksha Yojana in order to provide safe transport to girl students going to schools and colleges. A nodal officer is appointed in each educational institution to manage this transport facility for girl students.
