Haryana Govt purchases 5 lakh tablets for state-run institutions

The Minister of Education of Haryana, Kanwar Pal, announced on Monday, 8th of August, 2022, that around 5 lakh tablets have been purchased for the students of state-run schools of classes 10 to 12. A total of 620 crore rupees have been spent on the tablets, said the minister.

In addition to tablets, the students will also receive free internet facilities. Each student will receive a total of 2 GB data per day. Furthermore, the tablets contain Personalised and Adaptive (PAL) Software which will aid in subjects like social sciences, English, Hindi, etc.

Moreover, in order to ensure that the students do not use the devices for any other purpose than what they were intended for, the tablets have been equipped with various safety and security measures which will prevent any misuse of the tablets.
