Holiday for schools in Dakshina Kannada following heavy rains

Schools closed due to heavy rains

Due to heavy rains since Monday evening, on August 6th, Dakshina Kannada district administration has declared holiday for schools in five other taluks in the district. An official statement said that, on August 6th, schools in Sullia, Puttur, Kadaba, Belthangady and Bantwal taluks will remain closed.

Dharwad’s Deputy Commissioner has declared holidays for all schools & colleges for two days (August 6th & 7th). For schools in Mudigere and Koppa taluks, the holiday has been declared on August 6th.

Holiday has also been declared for schools in Hassan, Arehally hobli of Belur taluk and K Hoskote & Palya hiblis of Alur taluk.

Krishna Bajpai, the Deputy Commissioner of Haveri district has even declared holidays for all schools & colleges in the district on August 6th.
