HRD Minister to Address College Crises Via Webinar

Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal will be addressing issues of 45,000 colleges spanning over the country on 28 May 2020. The webinar conducted by the National Assessment And Accreditation Council (NAAC) is scheduled at 3 pm. Main concern of this webinar will be the problems that have surfaced owing to the COVID-19 lockdown. Pokhriyal is likely to offer feasible solutions to key challenges educational institutes are facing and come up with new opportunities for learning in India.

In his official twitter account, the HRD Minister expressed his aim to establish a direct communication with colleges across the country. Each of these colleges have been requested to join the webinar.

Some of the key issues that will be discussed are online class disruptions, setting academic calendars, and confusion over postponed examinations. The prevalent issues regarding protests over online examinations are still unresolved. These issues are most likely to be discussed by the Minister.

Previously, the Minister had addressed three webinars for parents, teachers and students announcing major changes in academic calendar and competitive examinations such as JEE Main and NEET 2020
