ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education organized a press conference to announce the 98th Association of Indian Universities Annual General Meeting and National Conference of Vice Chancellors 2024 which is a prestigious conference that is aimed to work in the field of Higher Education of India.
More than 500 vice chancellors from India & abroad are expected to participate through offline and online mode in the conference to share their views on Higher Education in India. Prof GD Sharma, President AIU stated that AIU was established in the year 1925 and next year it will be the centenary year. He also said that AIU is the largest and 2nd oldest institution in the world that works towards the development of the higher education.
Prof G D Sharma, announced that Shri C P Radhakrishnan, Hon’ble Governor of Telangana will be the Chief Guest or the inaugural event, which will be held on, Monday 15th April 2024 at Leonia Holistic Destination at 10.00 am. The Conference is scheduled for 3 days 15th, 16th and 17th of April, 2024 and ICFAI is hosting the conference.
Secretary General of AIU Dr. Pankaj Mittal said that AIU is continuously working towards the development of higher education on the theme of Viksit Bharat proposed by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. There are 1007 members in AIU which makes it the largest institution in our country. She said AIU will connect with students in many ways to involve them in the institution activities such as Teachers Capacity Building programs, Youth festivals, research activities and sports meets for the overall development of the students.
“Many important aspects will be discussed in this conference where many eminent speakers from elite universities will share their views. The proceedings of this conference will form as a policy document for the higher education ministry of India”, elicited Dr. Pankaj Mittal, Secretary General, AIU.
Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak, stated that each year AIU will conduct 5 zonal meets and one annual meet across India. Prof. L S Ganesh Vice Chancellor, ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education expressed his delight in hosting such a prestigious conference and stated that ICFAI instantly okayed the proposal put forward by the AIU in conduct of the conference. Apart from the conventional rankings, there will be lab level and subject level rankings that will determine the performance of the university he said. Distinguished advisor of the ICFAI Dr. J Mahender Reddy lauded the officials for selecting such a vibrant topic on Higher Education.
Prof. Sudhakar Rao Director gave a brief of the different activities of ICFAI. The main AIU conference brochure was launched on this occasion which was attended by a large section of the media.
