India grabs silver in World Junior for Blind and Visually Impaired 2018

Several athletes are making India proud and establishing the nation’s name on the world stage, be it the Asian Games or any other. But it is really a mesmerizing moment when India’s Soundarya Pradhan bagged the silver medal at the World Junior for Blind and Visually Impaired 2018 in chess. This young chess master has proved to be the best ever Indian performer in the championship which was organized in Solec Zdroj, Poland. Chessbase India tweeted and acknowledged Pradhan’s stupendous performance.

This Odisha boy has been blind since childbirth but that has never stopped him from achieving marvelous goals. He is also an achiever in academics and studies in National Institute of Technology, Odisha. According to All India Chess Federation for the Blind (AICFB), Pradhan has already won the Hyderabad FIDE Rating Open Chess tournament for the blind (2012) and Kolkata FIDE Rating Open Chess tournament for the blind (2013).

Kudos to the upcoming star, who is crossing all hurdles and moving forward to make his parents as well as the nation, proud.
