As far back as 12.00 BC, mathematics knowledge was being written down as part of a large body of knowledge known as the Vedas in these texts numbers were commonly expressed as a combination of the power of tens. For example, 365 rights are expressed as 3 hundred (3×10¹). From 3 BC, we also have writers’ evidence of the Brahmi numerals.
