G20, Indian Navy & Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA) invites schools across the country to join the celebration of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Kaal’ & India’s G20 Presidency with their unique initiative, THINQ, one of the biggest quiz competitions!

G20 THINQ is an exciting quiz competition that aims at providing the brightest, young minds, the future leaders of our country to experience the Indian Navy. Participants will instill a sense of national pride and patriotism while showcasing their knowledge and intellect.

The Indian Navy is inviting more than 10,000 schools from across the country to participate in THINQ – 23. There would be two rounds, a national round followed by an international round, which will see participation from G20 (+09) countries.

The event begins with engaging quizzing rounds, leading to an all-sponsored trip for the top 16 teams for the semi-finals at Mumbai. The National Finals would be held at Gateway of India, Mumbai. The two best quizzers will then form the ‘Indian Team’ for the International round at India Gate, New Delhi.

Win exciting gifts and prizes
The participation and achievements of all students will be recognized and honored with special appreciation certificates. Exciting prizes await the winners of this unique occasion, showcasing their exceptional performance and dedication.

Meet and interact with Naval Personnel
Qualifying teams will have the chance to interact with Naval Personnel in uniform and gain insights into the exciting world of Naval operations onboard warships, submarines and Naval aircrafts.

Important Dates
Registrations:

Now open. 31 July 2023 is the last date for registrations. Only one team per school will register. Team comprises of two students & a teacher who will accompany the students.

Online Elimination Round I:
Early September 2023. Top 50% Teams based on score and time taken will qualify for Elimination Round – II.

Online Elimination Round II:
Mid-September 2023. Top 50% Teams based on score and time taken will qualify for the next round/quarter finals.

Online Quarter Finals:
End September 2023. Top 16 teams based on score and time taken will qualify for the Semi Finals.

Semi Finals at Mumbai:
17 November 2023. Top 16 teams from the Quarter finals will be organised into two semi-finals of 8 teams each. Top 4 teams from each semi-final will qualify to the National Finals.

National Finals at Delhi:
18 November 2023. One winner will be chosen and two teams will be adjudged as first and second runner ups. A jury composed of a homogeneous group of service officers, academicians and professionals would thereafter identify three best quizzers (two main quizzers and one standby) who would form the “Indian team” for participation in the International round.
