Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship Bootcamps in April

With an aim to nurture innovation, design, and entrepreneurial skills of student innovators and ambassadors from higher education institutes and schools, two days “Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamps” for School Teachers and Innovation Ambassadors will be organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in various parts of the country. The “School Innovation Contest” which is part of the School Innovation Council (SIC) was launched on 28th August 2023 to motivate, handhold, and nurture school students’ bright ideas and Innovations and fund the selected innovations to build Products/Technology/Startups. So far more than 23,800 teachers have completed the School Innovation Ambassador Program (https://sia.mic.gov.in). More than 5,100 schools have registered for the School Innovation Council and more than 6,700 ideas have been submitted by student innovators to participate in the School Innovation Contest (https://sia.mic.gov.in).

The Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamps are being jointly organized by the Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), All India Council for Technical Education
(AICTE), Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT).

CBSE has directed Principals of all CBSE affiliated schools to nominate a teacher from their school to participate in the Bootcamps by registering through the link mentioned above on or before 15th March 2024. Teachers selected for the IDE Bootcamps will be informed through email by the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education.

There is No Registration fee for participation. Teams participated in the School Innovation Contest, schools registered for
the School Innovation Council, Innovation Ambassadors, participants of hackathons and skill expos and Teachers involved / interested in the innovation-related activities can register for the boot camps.
