This Class VII student is passionate about writing and have written 3 books by the small age of twelve, Vaimitra Chandrasehar shares her story with Arnay Agarwal founder of The Talk Bar.
Arnay: Tell us about yourself.
Vaimitra: I am 12 years old. I study in the 7th grade at the Pupil Savitha eco school. My hobbies include writing, painting, cooking, reading, and music.
Arnay: Tell us about your writing journey. What motivated you to start it. How you started Writing.
Vaimitra: When I was younger, I wanted my stories to be featured in children’s magazines but that didn’t end up happening. So, my parents encouraged me to publish my first book, take a break, at the age of 7.
Arnay: Tell us about your Books. And at what age did you write it.
Vaimitra: I started writing from the age of 7. I have written 3 books after that. Part 1, 2 and 3 of ‘The Great Adventures of Ally and Albert’. My 3rd book – The great-adventures of Ally and Albert-Part 2-The mysterious visitors was launched in July 2019 at the Odyssey bookstore, Chennai.
Arnay: Are you a Book reader also. Which one is your favourite book and writer.?
Vaimitra: My favorite authors include J. K. Rowling, Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl and much more.
Arnay: Tell us about your awards that you received for your literary achievements.
Vaimitra: My third book- The Great Adventures of Ally and Albert –Part 2 was nominated for the Author Elite Award- a global award that is bestowed for literary merit.
Arnay: What are your achievements in Drama and Music Albums.
Vaimitra: I am a part of the Crea-Shakti school of drama (affiliated to Trinity College of London) and I am the youngest to achieve Grade 6, when I was nine years old and also published a play.
Arnay: What is your dream and your future plans?
Vaimitra: When I grow older, I would like to start my own interior design company and I would like to express my culinary and art interests by having a couple side businesses such as a restaurant and an art gallery.
