Kirti Makhija became the second rank holder of this year’s ISC exams with 99.25 per cent. This is an incredible feat for the young lady! Makhija shares the spot with Pune’s Tanisha Joshi. What fascinates us about Makhija is the career trajectory that she has planned for herself. Being from a family of bankers, the topper is all set to weave a career trajectory of a similar kind. However her destination remains different. The 19 year old wants to become an entrepreneur! Currently the topper is willing to pursue Chartered Accountancy alongside her college studies.
For college admissions she is preparing for the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET-UG) 2023. Makhija aspires to study in Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC). “Delhi University is my preferred choice for pursuing a B.Com degree given its Indian and international rankings. I want to join SRCC or Lady Shriram College for Women. If not, then I will opt for Mumbai University,” she said. After graduation Makhija plans to sit for the CAT exams and pursue an MBA. In the long run, the recent school pass out wants to become an entrepreneur. She wants to create jobs and employ people, rendering to the booming entrepreneurial mindset that India is trying to establish.
