by admin

ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) launched Antriksh Jigyasa, a web application in November 2022. As per its literal meaning Space Curiosity, the application aims at exploring space through the help of technology. It provides an auto-learning opportunity for students consisting of courses on space science and the technology and application behind it. With the website having public access, registration is open to all students who wish to utilise the platform. The space application is comprised of various components that have been listed below:

Siksha Gagan: Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is being offered to students and professionals. Once registered and logged in ISRO E-Class Learning Management System, the students get access to courses and study materials on space applications, technology and science.

Space Varta: Registered candidates can listen to sessions where scientists talk about the theory and scientific concepts behind space applications, technology and science. Details on their own space missions are communicated in that session. The live sessions are also available on their social media platforms. Candidates are also given the opportunity to list out questions for the subject matter experts to answer them.

SkyPicks: On this platform, kids are given the opportunity to showcase their creative skills like drawing and photography in the field of space, astrophysics, and astronomy. ISRO evaluates these submissions on a regular manner and then the best one is rewarded.
