The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has rescheduled the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams originally set for today, February 14. The exams were rescheduled due to the Shab-e-Barat holiday. The new dates for the exams are March 4, 2025.
The JAC has rescheduled the Class 10 matriculation exams for Kharia, Khortha, Kundmali, and Nagpuri to March 4. It has also postponed the Class 12 Intermediate core language exams, including Hindi A and English A, to the same date.
Additionally, all schools across Jharkhand will remain closed on February 14 in observance of Shab-e-Barat.
The JAC board exams for Classes 10 and 12 commenced on February 11. Class 10 exams were scheduled in the morning shift, while Class 12 exams took place in the afternoon. A total of 7.84 lakh students have registered for these examinations.
Students take the Class 10 exams in first sitting from 9:45 AM to 1:00 PM. While Class 12 students appear in the second sitting from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. Around 4.33 lakh students will take the Class 10 exams across 1,297 centers, and approximately 3.50 lakh students will sit for the intermediate exams at 789 centers.
With this rescheduling, the JAC board exams, initially set to conclude on March 3, will now end on March 4.
