JEE Advanced Results out, Kartikey Gupta tops the prestigious exam

The JEE Advanced 2019 results have been declared by The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT-Roorkee) on June 14. Students can check their results at their official website jeeadv.ac.in.

Kartikey Gupta Chandresh from Maharashtra has secured 346 out of 372 and topped the examination this year. Shabnam Sahay has obtained 308 out of 372 and became the topper among female candidates.

Held on May 27, JEE Advanced 2019 saw 161,319 candidates appear for both the papers in the exam. 38,705 students have cleared the exam and out of this 5,356 are female candidates. Candidates will receive messages on their cell phone regarding the publication of JEE Advanced rank list or JEE All India Ranks (AIR).

This is the second and most important stage for admission in the four year undergraduate courses in the IITs. The exam is conducted by the seven zonal IITs on a rotational basis as per the norms of Joint Admission Board (JAB).

A total of 23 IITs in India offer almost 11,279 seats.

Students can also apply for admissions in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Rae Bareli (RGIPT), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc), Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) and six Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER). The counselling dates will soon be announced on the website by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). They will also conduct the counselling for NITs and IIITs on the basis of the JEE Main 2019 scores.
