Dr Manjula Pooja Shroff – The MD & CEO is the driving force of the Kalorex Group. She is a postgraduate from York University and an executive alumna of London School of Economics. She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Commonwealth University, London. An IIM Ahmedabad alumna, she is an Edupreneur with dedicated and diverse experience in the field of education. Recently, a book titled ‘Success, Mantras and Musings’ which is a biographical account of Dr Shroff’s life was released across the country.
Kalorex Educational Group started its operation in 1996 in Ahmedabad and has till now run and managed 55+ institutes. Delhi Public School Bopal, Ahmedabad; DPS in Mehsana and in East Ahmedabad run under the Kalorex banner. Kalorex Future Schools are located in Ahmedabad & Mundra and Calorx Public School in Bharuch. Apart from this, a chain of Pre – Schools are spread out across Gujarat and Tamil Nadu and a full spectrum IB world school known as Calorx Olive International School has made a name for itself.
The eKal Academy is the Kalorex e-learning platform that enables learners from across the globe to join an educational or hobby course. It was started with an intention to provide extra classes for Board students during the Covid lockdown period, but soon started gaining popularity with its myriad e-learning programmes.
Kalorex also offers its services towards uplifting the less privileged children by providing a foster home, Visamo Kids Foundation, and ensuring K-12 education for them in the best schools of the city. Students having learning difficulties are given special attention in Kalorex Prerna. It focuses on students having dyslexia or other learning concerns. The Vocational & Educational Development Institute of Calorx (VEDIC) offers skill building for employability for destitute girls.

Mobile apps enable parents to be aware about the learning outcomes. Teachers upload the day’s assignments and notes on the portals for easy access and even if a student has missed school he/she can be kept updated on the daily happenings.
Today AR, VR, ML, Robotics is as much part of the everyday curriculum as in any part of the world. The eKal Academy under Kalorex was one of the first to offer extra classes to Board students during the lockdown period when students were struggling for academic support. Today this academy has expanded and offers various programmes for self – paced and live learning. Holistic development of an individual who values Indian culture and at the same time is a global citizen with compassion and awareness on issues that matter, including climate change, peace, sustainable development and harmonious co-existence are goals which Kalorex also aligns with the UNs SDGs.
