Karnataka schools will broadcast ‘Pran Pratishtha’ live

by

The Association of Management of Primary and Secondary Schools in Karnataka, have decided to broadcast the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, live on 22nd of January, in their affiliated schools. In anticipation of the inauguration of the Ram Mandir, states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and others have already declared the closure of schools on January 22.

However, all Central Government offices, Central Institutions, and Central industry establishments across India, including Karnataka will observe a half day, till 2:30 pm, on that day.

This proposal to broadcast the ceremony, in schools in Karnataka, seeks to enable students to actively engage in celebrating this historic occasion by wearing colorful attire on that day. The association made this choice as announcing a holiday could result in students going out to play and potentially missing the historic event. Instead, they suggest commemorating the occasion within the school premises.
