Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has slated a four-day cultural event called “Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat Parv”, with an aim to celebrate unity in diversity and also to promote the cultural and literary skills of students through various competitions. The event will see the participation of around 2,375 students and teachers from 25 regions from around our country; that would be paired to represent some other state, different from that of their own.
The event is to be inaugurated by Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, on October 31 in New Delhi. Santosh Kumar Mall, Commissioner, KVS, said, “It is envisaged that through this exchange, the knowledge of the language, culture, traditions and practices of the different states will lead to an enhanced understanding and bonding between one another”.
“Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat Parv, aims to actively enhance interaction between students of diverse cultures living in different States of India.’Fit India’ – is the inaugural day theme, ‘Samagra Shiksha’ is the theme on the second day, and on the third it’s ‘Jal Suraksha,’ followed by the theme ‘ban on single-use plastic’ – Swachh Bharat,” he added.
