The Kerala government on February 22, 2024 launched a toll-free helpline number to provide assistance to students and their parents who require help to ease exam-related stress. Students in Kerala would be attending the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC), Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary examinations in March.
Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty said that toll-free telephone number, ‘We Help’ – 1800 425 2844, was launched for students and parents, where they can use the facility from February 22, 2024 onwards. He said that students and parents can avail the service from morning 7 am to evening 7 pm and added that coordinators trained by Nimhans in Bengaluru, would be providing counselling for free. The facility would be available on all working days until the end of the examinations in Kerala. The Education Minister added that the counselling would be led by the Higher Secondary Career Guidance and Adolescent Counselling Cell.
