KIIT-DU Offers Free Education for Children of COVID-19 Deceased

KIIT-DU, Odisha, decides to provide technical and professional education without any tuition fee or additional charges to wards of COVID-19 deceased. Noting the devastating effects of COVID-19 that has impacted millions of lives in India, KIIT Deemed to be University has extended a helping hand providing free education and make learning accessible to victim’s children. The move will ease financial burden of these families triggered by COVID-19 pandemic in Odisha .

“Sons and daughters of the COVID deceased, who are interested, can apply to different technical and professional courses of KIIT-DU, including ITI and Diploma, as per their eligibility for admission,” read a statement by KIIT-DU.

Students can avail the facility for two consecutive academic years—2020-2021 and 2021-2022, clarified KIIT authorities. Eligible students can apply for courses on ITI and Diploma Engineering.

Preferences will be given to students belonging from BPL, SCBC, ST and SC categories.
