The process of choosing a school for your child is a very exciting one. LITTLE ELLY-Shaping little minds LITTLE ELLY-Shaping little minds LITTLE ELLY-Shaping little minds
It was the same for me and my wife Preeti, when we began the process several years ago while stationed in Kuwait, to look for an outstanding preschool. We visited many schools, yet what was missing was that one good school that gave our children everything for their all-round growth.
Preeti comes with a background as a kindergarten teacher. I believe strongly in nurturing meaningful values in children through a conscious, harmonious and fun-filled early childhood education system.
Together, we set out to start “Salmiya Playschool” in Kuwait in 2000. It got the highest ranking among the Asian expats within a year of operations. From there on, there was no looking back. Once we returned to India, we started Little Elly on the same line of Salmiya play school – Kuwait with some new suitable modifications.
The Journey has been gratifying and rewarding so far.
The first Little Elly Preschool was founded and established in 2004-05 in Bellandur, Bangalore. Today, the Little Elly group comprises of 120 plus franchises and training centers that are spread all over the country.
Our enterprising ideas has led to successful diversifications of the business into Glentree Academy: K-10 CBSE Schools in three locations in Bangalore: Whitefield, Sarjapura and Kanakapura Road.
The biggest challenge most preschools face is the stiff competition from mainstream schools.
Parents are coerced to move their children into mainstream schools in Kindergarten for the fear of limited seats in Grade 1.
Another challenge is from unbranded neighborhood playschools that offer services without any knowledge of the pedagogy, or quality control. They offer rock bottom fee structure and discounts that demean the entire educational domain.
We offer enriching and exciting programs for children in the age group of 1.5 to 5 years.
Little Elly’s playgroup program is an extension of home. Children start their journey of exploration, social skills and discovery in our Playgroup program.
It offers a blended curriculum to facilitate right and left brain activities. Concepts taught through a variety of teaching aids.
Junior and Senior Kindergarten:
Our strong and proven curriculum prepares the child for a successful transition into formal school. Our low teacher/pupil ratio provide optimal learning opportunities & small class size allows for focused attention.
We use a blended curriculum offering the best of the Montessori & Steiner methods.
Moving away from the typical classroom design, Little Elly has a series of ‘Concept rooms’ designed:
- Fine Motor Skills room: Includes Montessori sensorial and Practical life activities
- Early Learning Room: Wide Eye Program to promote language & Literacy
- Focused Learning Room: To introduce skills and concepts necessary for Nursery and Kindergarten
- Stage Area: For Music and Movement
- Creative Corner: For Art & Craft activities
Our Early learning program involves the use of Multimedia technology to introduce and explain early concepts to children. Here the children are introduced to auditory, visual and a tactile experience.
Security & safety
All our schools are armed with CCTV cameras; our staff undergoes a thorough background check and is vetted by the local authorities. Bearer cards are issued to parents/guardians and children are handed over only to authorized cardholders.
Health & Nutrition
We conduct workshops by Nutritionists and early childcare providers to educate parents on the importance of healthy food choices.
Little Elly collaborates with Jarma Wellness LLP, a leading private sector organization working with Schools and Corporates in the area of Preventive Health and First Aid Services.
A place that is run by very passionate people. Kids feel like home and fun learning is emphasized here.

My daughter loves little Elly. The school has a touch of home and hence my daughter was very comfortable. Also academically, my daughter has learnt a lot. She enjoys alphabets, words and numbers and quite often plays games around it with me.
