Lucknow schools are to remain closed till 14 th Jan, special arrangements for board examinees

The government of UP has declared schools in Lucknow will remain shut till the 14 th Jan due to the cold wave, and classes will be conducted online. Surya Pal Gangwar, the district magistrate of Lucknow in a letter to school heads ordered schools up to class 8 to stay shut and conduct online classes for students of 9-12 who don’t have their practical and pre-board exams from Jan 12 to Jan 14 2023. In absence of these arrangements, Jan 12 to Jan 14 will be declared a holiday for students of 9 to 12.

For class 10 and 12 students appearing for board exams, schools are expected to make the following arrangements.

1)   To prevent students from catching a cold, heaters and other equipment will be arranged to maintain the normal room temperatures in the classrooms.
2)   Students will not be made to stay outside for any reason.
3)   Students are encouraged to wear warm clothes that can protect them from the biting cold, the school uniform is not mandatory.
