Human development is a lifelong process. The development in early stages is more crucial when compared to the development in the later stages of life. It is continuous and happens in consecutive phases. Mental and physical development takes place at different rates. A child’s development moves from general to specific i.e., the child develops all the characteristics like talking, eating, sitting upright in the similar way but later he/she develops inclination towards certain activities. One activity considered normal at one age might not be acceptable in the other, such as, bedwetting is normal when the child is 2 years old but at 10 years, it is inappropriate.
