The Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSE&L), Ministry of Education, organized a two-day Strengthening Teaching-Learning and Results for States (STARS) knowledge-sharing workshop in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, from September 30 to October 1. The workshop centred on improving ‘School-to-Work Transition and Strengthening the Assessment System.’
Uday Pratap Singh, State Minister of Transport and School Education, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the National Education Policy 2020’s (NEP) focus on the holistic development of children and the transformative role of the STARS project in education. Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, of DoSE&L, emphasized on the importance of aligning education with employment needs, while Vipin Kumar, Additional Secretary, highlighted learning opportunities for participants.
Panel discussions explored the role of NEP 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework in promoting skill-based education, internships, and industry-aligned curricula. Experts discussed innovations in assessments, psychometric analysis, and career counselling, emphasizing the need for school-industry collaboration. The workshop concluded with key insights on strengthening educational assessments and improving the transition from school to the workforce.
