by admin

National Anti-Doping Agency and National Council of Education Research and Training have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance value-based sports education among students and educators. The collaboration is aimed towards spreading awareness among youth in engaging them in clean sports and bringing in them certain values that active sports can impart. As part of this endeavour, large scale e-content on sports value and ethics will be developed.

UNESCO Value-Based Sports Education toolkit will also be promoted in classrooms. NADA has been trying to address the problem of narcotics consumption in the country, especially among youth since its inception. With the two bodies coming together, the programme will definitely be more impactful. Sports forms an essential part in any child’s life. It teaches her/him values such as teamwork, leadership, discipline, fair play and sportsmanship, perseverance, integrity, makes her/him responsible and boosts self confidence.
