The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has announced a comprehensive strategy to enhance educational resources in its schools for the fiscal year 2024-25. This plan encompasses the distribution of 9,000 computer tablets to students, improvements to sports training facilities, and the introduction of nature based classrooms.
NDMC member Kuljeet Singh Chahal announced on Wednesday, the council’s plan of establishing a wrestling center at the Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya situated on Mandir Marg. According to reports from PTI, NDMC member indicated that the NDMC seeks to achieve Viksit Bharat@2047 through contemporary educational infrastructure and promoting green energy.
According to NDMC the project entails the distribution of 9,000 computer tablets to benefit students in Classes 9 to 12, as well as Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) and Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) across all schools.
Presently, the NDMC oversees 43 schools with an approximate student population of 28,000. During the pandemic, the council initiated a program that supplied 811 computer tablets to students in Classes 10 and 12.
