New NEP will be unveiled soon: HRD ministry

Swachhata Campus Ranking 2019 award

The Human Resource Development HRD –  minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, addressing the Swachhata Campus Ranking, 2019 award ceremony at AICTE through video conferencing, announced that “The new National Education Policy NEP will be in the public domain shortly and it will establish glory of India in the world.” The Swachhata Campus Ranking, 2019 award ceremony saw the participation of nearly 7,000 higher educational institutions, out of which 52 institutions were given the clean and smart campus awards.

The HRD minister finding the time and place appropriate to raise the grave issue of water shortage and depletion of water resources,  urged the students congregated at the ceremony to think about water conservation methods and asked them to pledge to save a litre of water every day and spread that message around in their surroundings.

Talking on the occasion the HRD ministries – Secretary for Higher Education R Subrahmanyam said that the new education policy is in the last stages of its modification and will be out there in the public domain very soon. He said that this education policy will modify the way we implement our education systems for the betterment of students, institutions and stakeholders.
