There are a lot of plans that the Government of Delhi has for all the MCD schools. In a recent development it was reported that all MCD schools will appoint guards to ensure student’s safety. Data entry operators will also be appointed in all these schools to make sure teachers are not stuck with non-academic work. A transfer portal will be launched for teachers as assured by the Delhi Mayor, Dr Shelly Oberoi. She assured that the grievances of long-serving contract teachers will be addressed and outstanding arrears promptly settled.
As teachers brought up the issue of the NPS deduction money not being deposited in the NPS fund for about a year, Dr Shelly Oberoi directed zonal offices to submit a report regarding the issue. Future agenda of the government is to set up libraries and smart classrooms in various schools using the CSR funds after approval by The Indian Bank. The mayor further asked educators to work together to ensure holistic development of the students.
