Noida Schools for Classes Up to 8 Closed Due to Severe Cold

Authorities order school closures amid cold wave; IMD predicts temperatures to drop further with dense fog persisting.

Noida schools for classes up to 8 are closed due to cold weather. The decision follows a District Magistrate’s directive.

District Basic Education Officer Rahul Panwar issued the closure order. The order applies to all schools, regardless of affiliation. All schools, from nursery to Class 8, must remain shut until further notice,” the order stated. Authorities urged strict compliance.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) recorded a low of 10 degrees Celsius on Thursday in Gautam Buddh Nagar. The district’s maximum temperature reached 17 degrees Celsius.

The IMD predicts a minimum of 8 degrees Celsius on Friday with dense fog and misty conditions continuing. Students and parents are advised to stay updated for further announcements.
