Dear Teachers,
Greetings to every noble educator on this glorious day to all of you who are in this noble teaching profession.
Today I would like to stress on few key elements which makes every educator a holistic. personality.
I firmly believe that a society is built. only by teachers. The responsibility of a teacher is huge as you perform the job of shaping intellectual and creative minds who turn out to be the future of society. In Dr. Radhakrishnan’s opinion, “Teachers should be the best minds in the country”.
“A true teacher is the one who inspires and encourages students to develop a desire to learn and succeed. Teachers should not forget that the learning situation must be free.”
The role of teachers is very important, as they would act as changing agents in the development process and in developing a society. They must also become role models, as they have a great influence on their students. Do not put a full stop to your studies as his last piece of advice to budding teachers. Good teachers teach less and make their children learn more. Questioning power must be developed in students, as it is the basis for all technological and scientific development.
Teachers must acquire professional skills to motivate students. “Teachers should change themselves to be in the race, failing which they will be left behind,” Efficiency, professional competency and empathy towards students are the other basic qualities.
Teachers have the ability to make a positive impact on their students. Good teachers set high expectations and motivate the students to meet those expectations. As students strive for excellence, teachers assist students in meeting their highest potential through daily lessons. Teachers also serve as role models. Teachers make a contribution to society by preparing students for their real world endeavors. They teach students through examples to be kind, respectful, humble, patient and determined.
Today I wish all the teachers to be enlightened, empowered, enhanced, excellent, envisioned emblem of education and enable every learner to be enriched in every part of their lives.
May the Almighty bless you all exceedingly with His abundance of joy, happiness, health, prosperity, wisdom, knowledge and skills and give His divine grace to create glorious global rulers of this world.
