More than 3.93 lakh students will take the Class 12 theory examinations in Odisha across 1,276 centers from February 18 to March 27. The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha has established 205 examination management hubs to store question papers securely. Meanwhile, over 5.2 lakh students have registered for the Class 10 board exams, which will take place from February 21 to March 5 at 3,133 centers.
To ensure smooth and fair examinations, Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja directed district collectors and superintendents of police (SPs) to prevent malpractices. He held a video conference with officials, emphasizing strict security measures at exam centers and hubs. District authorities must provide round-the-clock security, strictly follow examination protocols, and prevent any incidents of question paper leaks.
The state government has banned mobile phones and electronic gadgets inside exam halls. An additional district magistrate (ADM)-rank officer will supervise examinations in each district. District collectors must personally monitor the process to ensure fairness and transparency.
Speaking to the media, CHSE Odisha’s Controller of Exams, Prasanta Kumar Parida, announced that authorities will deploy special squads in 35 locations across 30 districts. These squads will conduct surprise inspections at exam centers, keeping their identities confidential. Furthermore, officials will monitor all centers through CCTV surveillance. Authorities plan to announce the Class 12 results within 45 days of the exams.
Students and stakeholders should stay updated through official channels for further information regarding the examinations.
