The annual Class 12 examinations, administered by the Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), commenced across the state today, on 16th February 2024. A combined total of 384,597 students from arts, science, and commerce streams are taking the exams.
According to the CHSE examination controller, Mr. Ashok Nayak, the exams are taking place in 1,160 centers, with the majority under CCTV surveillance. Furthermore, the school and mass education department has established squads at the district, zonal, and CHSE levels to oversee the exams and thwart any irregularities.
According to Mr. Ashok Nayak, permanent squads from the education department have been stationed in Angul, Keonjhar, and Koraput throughout the exam period to swiftly respond to any irregularities in remote exam centers. The examination period will conclude on March 20.
