The Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam which is being held at BHU from Thursday July 7th 2022 was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he spoke about the importance of the NEP, Sanskrit and much more. He stated that the idea behind the implementation of the NEP was to bring education out of the clutches of narrow mindsets and incorporate it with the thoughts of the future. He said that importance should not only be laid to prepare the degree holders but also in preparing the human resources, which would help the country face difficult challenges in the future.
“I am sure that soon India will emerge as a global hub for education. To this end, we are creating world-class institutes that will help in creating opportunities for the youth. We are making sure that NEP is not just another document in the files, but a roadmap that guides our education system,” he stated.
He also stated that people are choosing uncommon careers and breaking free from the shackles of an orthodox system. People deprived of basic education are also gaining access to better career opportunities and a better lifestyle. He mentioned that the youth along with the NEP were responsible to fulfill the dreams of the ‘Amrut Mahotsav’.
“Ancient Indian languages like Sanskrit are also being carried forward,” he stated while pointing out the success of the NEP which makes way for the regional languages. Apart from this he also stated that the country reeled out of the pandemic faster and has also become one of the largest economies in the world. “We are the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem now,” Narendra Modi stated.
Apart from this, he also inaugurated an ‘Akshay Patra’ midday meal kitchen which is supposed to provide hygienic meals to 1 lakh children at one go.
