Cyber Security is essential in today’s data-driven and information-based world. As organizations are prone to complex cyber threats and experts in the field are needed more than ever now, IIT Jammu is coming up with a Post Graduate Diploma Course in Cyber Security. It will help students identify cyber threats, gain insights into cyber security and risk management, understand data breaches, cloud and network security, and design cyber security frameworks. Subjects like mathematical foundations and introduction to cryptography, computer networking fundamentals, operating systems fundamentals, web application and network security, multimedia, and digital forensics will be taught in the course.
IIT Jammu is launching the diploma course in collaboration with TimesPro. According to sources, the course will be conducted through Interactive Learning (IL) platform and delivered in the Direct-to-Device (D2D) mode. There will also be six days of campus immersion sessions during the year. Students will gain valued insights from academicians and industry experts during the tenure of 12 months of the course. The learning tools that will be applied in the course will range from lectures, discussions, projects, and assignments to over 100 hours of self-learning. As organizations are prone to complex cyber-attacks, IIT’s new diploma course is ideal for creating experts in the field who will eliminate such threats.
