It is the first school in Lucknow to use Augmented Reality to teach its students during Covid-19 pandemic. It is also the first CBSE School to host Skill Expo. During the event, 30 industry experts trained school principals on drafting school curriculums that promoted skill-based education.
Students at Lucknow International Public School recently wrote a book on prose and poetry which will soon be launched on Amazon. The money collected from the sale would be used for educating under-privileged students. The school has organized on multiple occasions initiatives like, ‘Honesty Shop’, wherein students buy snacks and drop money in a piggy bank without any supervision. The idea is to inculcate honesty among younger generation. Children should be appraised with a sense of responsibility and emotional attachment towards plants in the neighbourhood. Therefore, plants in the school garden are tagged with the names of students who adopt and take care of the plants. Students are also taught organic farming techniques.
Immense emphasis is laid on upskilling and training of staff. As a member of the Education Quality Foundation of India and a CBSE Resource person, Mandvi Tripathi has always trained teachers to create a more skill-based learning environment. She encourages young teachers to attend seminars and workshops to keep abreast with latest teaching techniques.
Institutions and parents should know each other’s expectations. Lucknow International Public School has a dedicated award for parents called the Best Parent Award. Such awards and related events not only enrich the parent-ward relationship but also motivate students to participate in competitions. It trains all stakeholders involved including students, teachers, and parents. This triangular approach is sure to better serve the purposes envisaged in the National Educational Policy (NEP) 2020.
