The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) had declared the Class 10 Board Examination 2023 results, but the marksheets are made available for download today, May 27 2023, at around 8 am. Candidates can check their results at the official website pseb.ac.in.
The top three ranks of PSEB Class 10th Results 2023 this year were occupied by government school students. The first rank has Gagandeep Singh with 100 per cent marks; Navjot secured the second rank with 99.69 per cent; and Harmandeep Kaur placed third with 99.38 per cent.
Three transgender students had also appeared for the Class 10 Examinations. They have reportedly also passed.
The overall pass percentage this year is 97.54 per cent. This is just 0.40 per cent less than last year’s overall pass percentage. The pass percentage of boys and girls also saw a slight dip as compared to last year. This year the pass percentage of girls is 98.46 per cent, whereas last year it was, 99.35 per cent. However the girls this year, like previous years, have performed better than the boys. Last year, boys had an overall pass percentage of 98.83 per cent whereas this year it has dipped to 96.73 per cent.
Last year, a total of 3,11,545 students appeared and 3,08,627 students passed the PSEB Class 10 Exams. In 2021, the exams were cancelled due to Covid-19.
The pass percentage of government schools stands at 97.54 per cent while the private schools’ pass percentage is 97 per cent. Punjabi subject has secured the highest percentage with 99.19 per cent, followed by English with 99.22 per cent. The third highest marks have been secured by Hindi subject with 99.62 per cent.
PSEB Class 10th Results 2023: When, Where and How to Check
The students will be able to check their results at the official website – pseb.ac.in by entering their registration number, roll number, date of birth, and other details.
The step-by-step procedure to download results are given below:
- Visit the official website – pseb.ac.in
- Click on the Class 10 results link on the homepage.
- Enter your login details.
- The result will be displayed on the screen.
- Save and download the result for future use as the same won’t be available at later stages.
Students who are not satisfied with their results can apply for rechecking at pseb.ac.in from May 31 till June 14, 2023.
