Punjab is gearing up for a massive parent-teacher meeting (PTM) on October 22, with over 20 lakh parents expected to attend across 20,000 government schools, according to Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains. The event, which aims to improve communication between parents and educators, will allow discussions on students’ academic progress, behaviour, and overall development. Parents will also receive September exam results and have the opportunity to evaluate school facilities, raising any concerns or suggestions.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will participate in the event. The PTM will be held at all primary and upper-primary government schools throughout the state. According to Minister Bains, parents will also witness improvements in the education system, such as the introduction of campus managers, upgraded classrooms, enhanced security, and state-of-the-art playgrounds, alongside the flagship ‘Schools of Eminence’ program.
