Continuing its objective of providing all-round development to children, Ryan International School recently organized the 16th Ryan International Children’s Festival from 13th to 17th December 2019 at Talkatora Stadium and National Bal Bhavan, New Delhi.
The event witnessed over 300 performances by Ryaniteson the theme ‘Generation Equal’. The aim of this festival was to help children overcome gender prejudices and celebrate a generation of equality. Among the notable guests were Lok Sabha Speaker ShriOm Birla, Ambassador of Romania Radu Octavian Dobre, and the Ambassador of Slovenia MarjanCenen.
With over 15,000 participants from 20 different countries including Russia, Germany, Czech Republic, Paraguay, Poland, and Denmark, the festival took the audience through varied forms of performing arts by Indian and international artists featuring classical and contemporary dance sequences, folklore, drama, musical plays and puppet shows.
On the occasion, the Ryan International School owner and MD Madam Grace Pinto said, “Our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of ‘Beti Bachao, BetiPadhao‘ has inspired the theme of the festival ‘Generation Equal’.This year, the spotlight is on gender equality and stereotypes that exist in societies around the world.”
She added, “At Ryan, we believe that such predefined roles for boys and girls are limiting children to develop their full potential. Through our festival, we aim to break such stereotypes and empower our students to follow their passion. Our festival will offer students a chance to host, perform and interact with children from all around the world.”
Madam Pinto also thanked Lord Jesus Christ for his continual blessings and the Group Chairman Dr AF Pinto for his vision of providing international exposure to the students of Ryan International Group of Institutions.
With diplomats, bureaucrats, ambassadors and other eminent personalities from various walks of life gracing the festival with their presence, the Ryan International Children’s Festival proved to be a rich extravaganza of performances, competitions, workshops, and street plays.
