The results of the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2026 have been officially announced. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check their results and download their scorecards from the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Along with individual scorecards, the examination authority has released a detailed merit list in PDF format. The list includes roll numbers, names, gender, ranks, and qualifying status of candidates who appeared for AISSEE 2026 for admission to Classes 6 and 9 for the academic year 2026–27.
Exam Details
AISSEE 2026 was conducted on 18 January 2026 in pen-and-paper mode at 464 examination centres spread across 190 cities nationwide. The entrance test serves as the sole gateway for admission to Sainik Schools and approved New Sainik Schools across the country.
Qualifying Criteria
To qualify for admission to Sainik Schools, candidates must secure:
- At least 25 per cent marks in each section, and
- A minimum of 40 per cent marks in aggregate.
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories are exempted from the section-wise minimum marks requirement for admission to Sainik Schools. However, for admission to New Sainik Schools, the same qualifying criteria apply uniformly to all candidates, including those from SC and ST categories.
Counselling and Admission Process
Admission to both Sainik Schools and New Sainik Schools will be conducted exclusively through an online e-counselling process. Candidates who qualify the examination will be required to participate in counselling and submit the necessary documents for verification as per the prescribed schedule.
