Schools in Nainital are closed due to heavy rain

All schools in Nainital, Uttarakhand,  have been closed on Friday, July 5, 2024 due to a heavy rain alert issued by the meteorological department. The forecast includes thunder, lightning, and heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of the district on both Friday, July 5, 2024 and Saturday, July 6, 2024.

Due to the forecast, all government, government-aided, and private schools from classes 1 to 12, as well as Anganwadi Kendras in the district, will be closed on Friday, July 5, 2024 as per an order from the Nainital District Magistrate.
