Schools to reopen across Meghalaya

Meghalaya: The Meghalaya government has proposed complete re-opening of Classes from VI to XII in both urban and rural areas across the State from February 8. The Education Department’s notification issued on Friday, stated that the decision to re-open the schools is a move to complete the courses, as well as to plan and prepare for the Board examination which would be held in the coming months. For Classes I to V, the Education Department has recommended partial opening in urban areas like Shillong, Jowai and Tura; but only for consultations, submission of assignments and discussions with teachers. However, the department has recommended complete opening in the rural areas
