Schools that have improved their ratings above the “Acceptable” mark can increase their school fees for the coming academic year
The schools in Emirate of Sharjah have been approved to increase their tuition fees for the academic year 2023-24 by 5 %. The decision was approved by the Sharjah Private Education Academy (SPEA).
SPEA made the decision in order to maintain the highest quality of teaching and learning. It is also made to meet the needs of private sector to enhance its resources and work requirements. The permitted increase in the fees is not to be exceeding 5 % for the year 2023-24. The decision was made in accordance with the school’s academic evaluation and the country’s inflation rate.
However, the schools below the “Acceptable” rating are not eligible to increase their tuition fees. The increase in the proportion of school fees is determined by the school’s academic evaluation and the inflation rate of the country.
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) approved a 3 % increase in school fees for private schools in Dubai for the academic year 2023-24. The decision was finalized and implemented on the basis of a study of the economic and academic situation of the private school education sector in Emirate of Dubai.
The interests of all concerned parties have been taken into account while making the decision. It ensures continuity in the improvement of quality and sustainability of education throughout all the curricula in private schools in Dubai.
A private school that improves its rating as per the demands of the School Inspection Bureau from Very Weak to Weak, from Weak to Acceptable or Acceptable to Good is allowed to raise its school fees by double of the fixed Educational Cost Index of 3%. This resolution was passed on by the Dubai School Fees Framework.
