Starting tomorrow, 290,000 students will begin their academic year in the UAE!

More than 290,000 students, and 23,492 professionals, will be embarking on their educational journey tomorrow.

Starting tomorrow, the United Arab Emirates will begin its new academic year. Following a break, on account of summer holidays, schools in the UAE are set to reopen for students from tomorrow. The UAE cabinet, under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, released the academic calendar for the 2023-2024 school year. The UAE cabinet also authorized the schedules for the subsequent three academic years. These schedules outlined a comprehensive timetable for school holidays and academic terms up until 2026.

Each academic year will comprise 182 operational school days. The academic calendar, as released, for the years leading up to 2026 has been given below:

For the academic year 2023-2024:

The academic year will commence on August 28, 2023.

The winter break is scheduled from December 11, 2023, to January 1, 2024.

The spring break is scheduled from March 25, 2024, to April 14, 2024.

For the academic year 2024-2025:

The academic year will start on August 26, 2024.

The winter break will be observed from December 16, 2024, to January 5, 2025.

The spring break is scheduled from March 24, 2025, to April 13, 2025.

For the academic year 2025-2026:

The academic year is scheduled to begin on August 25, 2025.

The winter break will be observed from December 15, 2025, to January 5, 2026.

The spring break is slated to run from March 23 to April 12, 2026.
