Taking event management to the next level-Rana Pratap

by admin

The Crave International Private Limited is unique in the sense since it is a Start-up co-founded by Rana Pratap Singh, a final year engineering student from Vardhaman Engineering College in Hyderabad. He and his friends dared to enter into the field of entrepreneurship just six months ago and within a short time made decent strides and even expanded to two cities-Hyderabad and Lucknow

Q. Can you explain the reasons behind venturing into Start-up sector at such a young age, when most others are looking for jobs in campus placements or to pursue higher studies?

I am very fond of either attending or organizing conferences and events and during my one such big event, E-Summit Hyderabad which was organized by Nucleus Tech, I thought why not have my own company to organize various events and conferences. Then I formed a team with 3 other member: G Sai Charan, Abishek Mandal and Vuppala Vinay. We started working for Incubation and also got support from my college Vardhaman College of Engineering, Shamshabad, Hyderabad.

Q. What are the challenges that you faced when you set out to become an entrepreneur? Who played the mentor role for you?

The basic challenge for any new entrepreneur is lack of networking and collaboration and it also was my biggest challenge. I overcame it with support and continuous mentorship of the e-cell head at Vardhaman college Dr A. Rajnikanth and M.D of Nucleus Tech Yashwanth Reddy and Founder of ORl Industry Madhu Parvathaneni.

Q. What are the different services offered by you to customers?

We organize all kind of Technical and Non- Technical events like Conferences, Hackathons, Ideathons, Workshops, Training programs, Internships, Marriage ceremonies, Concerts, Parties, Exhibitions, Meet-ups and also government surveys. We believe in quality service with passion.

We organize all kind of Technical and Non- Technical events like Cconferences, Hackathons, Ideathons, Workshops, Training programs, Internships etc.

Q. Studies showed that 90 percent of Start-ups in India have failed to take off after a certain period, with lack of innovation being cited as one of the main factors.

That’s true but I do not agree 100 percent. If we are up-to-date to face the challenge from new emerging competitors in market, there is nothing to worry. Only we need to be aware of marketing strategies and strive for forming new networks and collaborations. One should not be constant at same place, but take steps to be updated according to the market demands and needs of the society.

Q. Where do you see in five years from now and what are the future plans?

I have two branches of my company-one in Hyderabad and the other in Lucknow. My goal is to expand to every city in the country in the next 5 years. Also i want to form more and more networking chains and collaborations.
