IIT Madras (Indian Institution of Technology, Madras) has taken the initiative to help Tamil Nadu’s Educational Department further improve students & learning experiences by upgrading Digital Learning System in 6000 schools. The latest platform will be restructured and built such that it focuses on assessments.

As per the official announcement, Artificial Intelligence and data science will be employed to improve the quality of assessments and educational content distribution. The tools will be formulated such that it creates assessments, review performances, detect fraud, and keep a tab  on learning progress by utilising various dashboards.

The project will contain three different phases. The first one will revolve around the instructional content and assessments, next step will focus on the educational content distribution, assessment and feedback. The third phase will primarily focus on data analytics, dashboards, and reporting systems. This initiative hopes to improvise and update the learning system with its employment in 6000 government schools with 90 lakhs students. This will work to pick up weak areas of a student, customizing tutorials with 24/7 universal education while also helping out the administration evaluating and assessing papers and students’ performance.

The vision for this project is to transform the educational system with Artificial Intelligence and build an advanced educational sector for the future generation to come.
